Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fic short story – section three

She had been right; they had been waiting for her. This time there had been more humans and their metal tubes and she had not gotten off as easy as she had last time. The wound in her leg had reopened and one of the projectiles from the sticks had passed through her shoulder. The pain from the would alone made it hard to fly but she had lost a lot of blood getting away and she knew that the longer she flew around the more blood she would loose.

She had been able to run to the large pond that was nearby her hideout without being followed so she took a few moments to rest as she cleaned grit out of her wounds with the water. As the gravel and dirt was washed away the wound in her shoulder started to bleed more profusely. She ripped off a section of her hole ridden shirt and pressed it against the wound nearly crying out from the sudden pain.  She sat there for a few minutes as the wound soaked the rag and eventually began to clot.

Mokuba loved the park. It was green and the trees blocked out a lot of the noise from the city. He was used to the noise but at times he loved the peace he found here. His brother had not wanted Mokuba to wander the park at night alone but when Mokuba had made an agreement to stay within yelling distance of his bodyguard who stayed near the car, Kiaba gave in. Usually he came to the park just to walk and relax and get some fresh air but tonight he was just restless.

He was worried about his brother and missed him. He had not been able to spend time with him for over a week due to Seto needing to work and was wondering if he should start going to the Kiaba Corp building and handing in the duel disk reports in person. Kiaba had been getting stressed with managing work and overseeing the duel disk testing so Mokuba had taken the duel disk tests so Seto could focus on work.

Mokuba stopped walking. He had been thinking about work again. He shook his head as if to shake out all the thoughts and worries. He spied a pebble a few steps away and walked up to it and kicked it with such ferocity that the pebble flew away out of site.

The boy stood there for a minute in thoughtlessness. He suddenly started to pond, he was not how he got to the decision to go there but he just continued walking on. The pond was his favorite place and also one of the places he was not supposed to go since it was out of the range of his bodyguard. He supposed he just wanted to see if it had changed or maybe he was feeling just a little rebellious and this was the only way he could break the rules.

The area around the pond not lit by the park lights and was a good area for anyone who wanted to ambush him and he stopped at the edge of the light. As he stared into the darkness his eyes adjusted and he could see the light shining off of the surface of the water and in that light the outline of a person kneeling by the water. He didn’t know who would be here at this time but he could tell something was off since while the silhouette was human it was also not human at the same time.

He got curious and stepped closer, stepping on a branch as he did. The noise alerted the figure t his presence and it turned around.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fic short story – section two

(a week later)

A white limmo pulled up to the Kiaba Corp building and a tall young man in a crisp white suit climbed out. “Mr. Kiaba” called a man coming down the steps of the building “how was the meeting?”.  “it was just a bunch of old men complaining. Nothing was really accomplished” Kiaba had been trying to buy a chip for the new duel disk he was creating. He had tried using other chips but none of them had been as good of a quality as this one but the company did not want to sell him the chip. “The test results for one of the replacement chips has come in, I placed it on your desk along with a new version of the business deal from the company.”  Roland always made sure his boss had everything he needed. “Good job, Roland” The two men walked into the building ready for another long day of work.

(that night)

I had begun to dread this part of the day. Night was the only time I could go out since humans could not see me as well and there were not as many of them out. If she had been in a world with more magic she could have made herself look just like a human so she could blend in but with so little she had to settle for only parts of her body being human.

Her stomach growled reminding her that she had not eaten much that day making her wait for the food markets to close hard. Each night she had broken into the markets and stole meat so she would not starve. After the string of thefts the shop keepers had gotten wary and the previous night she had been caught. A man had pointed some long metal tube at her and ordered her out of the building. When she tried to get past him to get away with the little food she had in her hand, the man had squeezed the tube and something had shot out of the end of the tube and grazed her left arm. The little bit of food she had been able to get away with had not been enough to sustain her for the day. She knew that tonight would be harder with her arm still hurt and her leg still healing. She would be slower and since the humans knew what she was after they would be waiting for her and they would defend what was rightly theirs. She knew what she was doing was wrong and if she could she would have done things the right way but she would not allow herself to starve.

She could tell they were waiting for her, she could sense it. She spread her wings and stepped to the edge of the building. She slowly leaned over the edge and fell off the side gaining speed as she plummeted. She saw two men walking out of the building and she spread her wings out to their fullest so she leveled out streaming away from the building leaving only a gust of wind in her wake.

Kiaba sensed something dropping towards him and so he looked up only to fleetingly see a black shape dart past. The gust of wind that followed blew leaves and dirt up causing both men to cover their eyes to prevent anything from getting in their eyes. After the wind settled Kiaba considered the shape and reasoned that he must have seen a large bird, a very large bird from the size. It must have been on the building but he had more important things to think about. He had to discuss matters with the campus security. He would have to have Roland call for the cleaning men to oust the bird from its hiding place since the only place it could rest is with the Blue Eyes statues and he would not have them defiled.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fic short story – section one

I hate this world. It’s noisy, the air stinks and hurts your nose, the waters are polluted. I miss being able to travel to different worlds. I had been in a different world yesterday, one brimming with magic. I loved it there, but as always there were those that did not want me there. I was attacked. In the fight my leg was cut so I could not run away and I could not fly for the air was so thick with arrows. I had been trapped. I had panicked and using magic I had transported myself across dimensions to another world. Since I had been rushed I had not time to pick a world to go to and thus was thrown in this world; this dead world. Magic is practically dead, there is so little here you have to concentrate at times to find it. I was stunned when I first saw this world, this foreign earth. Humans have taken over everything, there is no peace and quiet, and everyone is always doing something. It was so different that I spread my wings and took to the sky. After a few minutes of flying I had settled down enough to think rationally. I knew that I would be here for a long time so I would need someplace to stay where I would be sheltered, but no human would give me shelter so I would need to find a place where they did not go. I would also need to pick a place near water so then that would limit my area of search. I knew I could steal food from the humans so I would go out later and search for a large store of food. I knew that the quickest way to escape was the air so I would need someplace tall and since humans love to build high that was not a problem and being high would give me a view of the surroundings so I could see when someone was coming. In the end I settled on a building and after circling it I saw that it had strange dragon sculptures on it and it made me feel peaceful in a way. I landed near the top by one of the dragon creatures. After looking around I found a small niche that I could hide in and be sheltered. I turned around and looked over the landscape looking to see if there was a body of water nearby and after a bit I found one. I decided that this would do for a place to stay until my leg was healed so I curled up and tried to rest till the next night. I could not help but feel lonely, I had felt this way for a long time since it was rare to find any who wanted to be a companion of mine, but it did not make it any easier to deal with the pain. I fell asleep yearning for the pain to stop.
